When I was 16, I got a job at a McDonald’s located right off of I-65 in Scott County, Indiana. It was…um…educational. 🙂 I hadn’t realized how sheltered a life I’d been living until then.

My first (and shortest) job was at Baskin Robbins when I was 16. I only lasted one day after realizing that each night I’d have to mop the floors which were sticky with all the ice cream that customers had dripped and spilled throughout the day. I figured there were easier ways to make $3.50 an hour.

Here is a fun fact…working at YoNuts – where you could get Donuts and Yogurt ? Since area we lived in, the Dunkin Donuts went out of business and there was no other donut establishment. My work day started as a 15 year old was 5am open. Coffee made and donuts lined up for the first wave of police officers on weekend duty (i.e. my uncles!)

Wendy’s, haha. ? (I was 16—it was a good gig! I even came in early before opening on Sundays and chopped up enough lettuce to fill up two outdoor sized garbage cans; clean ones with liners.)
